Step 1: Gather Your Account Credentials


Before you begin, ensure you have received an email from us containing the PDFs with your username and password. These credentials are essential for the setup process.


Step 2: Access Ubie Webmail via IONOS


To get started, open your web browser and go to the webmail link provided to you.


Step 3: Logging In and Changing Your Password


Once you're on the login page, please enter your username and password from the PDFs we sent you. For your security, we highly recommend changing your default password immediately after your first login. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your webmail account using the provided username and default password.
  2. Once logged in, locate the "Settings" or "Options" section within the webmail interface.
  3. Look for the "Change Password" option and click on it.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a strong and unique password for your account. Remember to choose a password that includes a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters to enhance its security.
  5. Save the changes, and your new password will be in effect.


Step 4: Email Configuration on Popular Devices


Now that you have your password updated, it's time to set up your email accounts on your favorite devices.

Option 1: Setup on Mobile Devices (e.g., Smartphones, Tablets)

  • Open the email app on your device (e.g., Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook).
  • Choose "Add Account" or "Setup Account."
  • Select "IMAP" as the account type (recommended for better synchronization).
  • Enter your email address and the new password you set up earlier.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the setup process.

Option 2: Setup on Desktop Email Programs (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird)

  • Open your desktop email program.
  • Click on "Add Account" or "New Account."
  • Choose "IMAP" or "POP3" as the account type (IMAP is recommended for better synchronization).
  • Enter your email address and the new password you set up earlier.

  • Incoming Mail Server (IMAP): imap.ionos.co.uk
  • Incoming Mail Port: 993
  • Encryption: SSL/TLS

IONOS SMTP Settings


  • Primary SMTP Settings:

  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.ionos.co.uk
  • Port: 465
  • Encryption: SSL/TLS

  • Alternative SMTP Settings (if port 465 is blocked):

  • Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.ionos.co.uk
  • Port: 587
Encryption Changes:

  • For Thunderbird: Use STARTTLS instead of SSL/TLS
  • For Outlook 2016/2019: Switch to TLS
  • For Outlook (Microsoft Office 365): Use STARTTLS
  • For Gmail App: Change to STARTTLS
